The PowerPlex 2000 Series of pushbutton access control locks utilize Kaba's proprietary PowerStar™ technology, requiring no wiring or batteries. Previous models required a pump of the lever to generate power. PowerPlex Series utilizes new built-in super capacitor technology to store power longer, up to 14 weeks with no activity. The new integration of technology fits with today's security desires, enhances the user experience and is designed for a broad spectrum of applications.
The feature-rich PowerPlex electronic pushbutton lock provides access by entering a programmed PIN code, and allows free egress, eliminating concerns associated with issuing, controlling, and collecting keys or cards. Multiple key override options are available.
Additional features include:
1000 event audit trail
Cylindrical, exit device and mortise installation compatibility
Five levels of programmed authority accessibility
Tamper-proof lock out and adjustable re-lock
ANIS/BHMA Grade 1 certification
Three year warranty
"The new and improved functionality of the stand-alone PowerPlex not only simplifies its operation, but greatly enhances its performance," States Mark Shellberg, Product Manager. "PowerPlex is similar to its mechanical lock counterpart, with the benefits of a full complement of electronic lock features."
The new PowerPlex 2000 Series will replace all EPS2000 PowerStar push-button locks. Kaba sees the development of its PowerPlex and PowerStar technology as a sustainable innovation for a growing "green-minded" market. Kaba self-powered security solutions address the real needs and demands for the building hardware industry, and fulfills their brand promise to develop and deliver products and services that make a difference in people's lives beyond security. |
